The Livewire Go is a portable, professional-quality cutting flag system for riders and trainers who want dependable flag work without running power to the arena. It runs on the DeWalt or Milwaukee tool batteries you already use, mounts quickly with its included rail-mounting system, and puts precise, responsive control in your hand from the saddle. If you train at home, haul to clinics, or work horses in more than one location, the Go is built to go where you ride.
Why Riders Choose the Go
- Fully portable — battery power means no outlet, no extension cord, and no permanent electrical installation.
- Professional core — uses the same motor and core programming technology as our professional models.
- Multiple adjustable speeds — match the flag to the horse and the session, then step it up as the horse gets more confident.
- Record & playback — record your own flag pattern and let the Go run it while you focus on riding.
- Clean, protected design — no externally mounted antenna and no vulnerable external controls to damage in transport or setup.
- Excellent value — an exceptionally capable cutting flag system without the price of many traditional professional systems.
Construction and Power Advantages
The Go is protected by a rugged fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP) enclosure built for demanding outdoor environments. The nonmetallic enclosure allows excellent wireless signal transmission, and the clean exterior design means no externally mounted antenna and no vulnerable controls — fewer parts that can be knocked, bent, or broken during transport, setup, or everyday use.
A convenient rail-mounting system is included, making the Go quick to install and easy to move between training locations. Power comes from compatible DeWalt or Milwaukee power-tool batteries (battery not included), so there is no outlet, no extension cord, and no permanent electrical installation required.
Underneath, Livewire is built around a microprocessor-controlled electronic system. Fewer relays, switches, and wiring connections mean fewer potential failure points — a system that is simple and clean on the outside and intelligent on the inside.
Control From the Saddle
The Go includes remote-controlled operation, speed adjustment, and recording/playback, so you can run the session yourself while working on tracking, timing, rate, stops, turns, and confidence.
Adjustable Speed
Choose from multiple speed settings to match the horse and the training session. Slow the flag down for a young or inexperienced horse, then increase the speed as the horse becomes more confident and responsive.
Record & Playback
Create your own flag sequence and play it back automatically. Record the movement, speed changes, direction changes, and timing you want, then let the Go reproduce the pattern while you focus on riding — no second person needed on the controls.
Soft Stop / Hard Stop and Reverse Direction
Not every horse needs the flag to react the same way. On the Go, hold Speed Up for about 5 seconds until the LED flashes to switch between Soft Stop and Hard Stop. Use Soft Stop for smoother, more forgiving flag movement, or Hard Stop when you want a sharper, more immediate response. Hold Speed Down for about 5 seconds until the LED blinks to reverse the flag's direction so you can mount the drive unit on either side of the arena.

Questions Riders Ask
Does the Go need AC power?
No. The Go runs on compatible DeWalt or Milwaukee power-tool batteries, so you can set up and train without an outlet, an extension cord, or a permanent electrical installation.
Which batteries does it use?
The Go is available in 20V DeWalt and M18 Milwaukee configurations. Batteries are not included, so you can use the tool batteries you already own.
Can it record and play back flag patterns?
Yes. Record your own sequence — movement, speed changes, direction changes, and timing — and play it back automatically while you ride.
Can I adjust how the flag stops or change direction?
Yes. Hold Speed Up for about 5 seconds until the LED flashes to switch between Soft Stop and Hard Stop, and hold Speed Down for about 5 seconds until the LED blinks to reverse direction.
Can I charge the remote inside the unit?
No. Internal remote charging is a feature of our Livewire Pro and Pro Solar enclosures. The Go keeps its clean exterior design without internal remote charging.

Very fast shipping, easy to set up and use, I have used multiple times and it does not run the Milwaukee battery low at all, this has given me the opportunity to start training on the flag in my rural location. Also the recording setting is fantastic as well. Thank you! Worth every penny.
Love it!
Absolutely love my flag system. Very portable and the ease of setting up and taking down on the go makes it even more worth it.
I got the Livewire lite and so far I absolutely love it. So quiet and smooth . It is definitely helping my horses tack and helps with their body positioning and a bonus my dog even loves chasing it
Really like it think it’s great quality
Really enjoy using this product. Easy to set up and easy to run.
I’ve had cow trac and another model Iver the years and this unit is simple a does great, also very mobile to change places with. Love it
Works well
I opted for the Milwaukee M18 battery option because all of our cordless power tools are Milwaukee. Super easy setup. Plus the portability is important right now. Our arena isn't paneled off and need to keep the pasture horses from messing with it. Just takes a couple minutes to set up and put away after working horses. Super quiet and smooth! The quietest flag I have ever worked.
As someone who doesn't train every day, I appreciated how easy it was to get started. The setup made it straightforward, and I was working my horse within the first afternoon.
Awesome product. Easy to set up and use! Having the program allows me to build one and then concentrate on my riding and forget toggling the remote. Price is a bonus!! AND customer service is the very best!!!
I wanted something that would hold up outdoors without a complicated setup. So far, the design seems well thought out, and the portability makes it easy to move between pens. Great buy at under $1,000
I bought the Livewire Lite model. 5 stars across the board!!! What an awesome product!! It is so well made, works great, quiet, easy to put up and take down. I have to board my horses, so the ease of set up and take down is priceless. The self-tensioner is amazing!! No more trying to pull the line tight AND tie a knot!! I can't say enough about Jimmy and the customer service he provides. He is very responsive and so helpful!!! Thank you, Jimmy!! I highly recommend this product and company!!!
